Our 6-Step Building Process
Our 6-Step Building Process
April 21, 2021
We know that building a house isn't easy, and it is one of the biggest decisions you'll make in life, but it is also one of the most rewarding.
At HomeMakers, we strive to make the building process as simple and user-friendly as possible, so you know exactly where your home is in the process, every step of the way.
We pride ourselves on being a different kind of builder.
When we say that, we mean that we put our homeowners first. Every aspect of HomeMakers has been designed with you in mind. Our goal is always to deliver the most affordable homes with the most stylish features and colors on the market today. To accomplish this goal, we have pre-selected finishes and features ahead of time for you. This also allows us to streamline our building process, increasing quality, decreasing build times, and decreasing warranty call back.
Let's break down each step of the process, so you can see exactly how we do things:
Step 1:
Pre-Approval
Visit with a local lender to obtain financing pre-approval.
Step 2:
Home Selection
Visit with a HomeMakers New Home Specialist to find a home that fits your budget, needs and timeline.
Step 3:
Purchase Agreement
Once your home has been selected, a purchase agreement will need to be signed with HomeMakers agreeing to purchase the home once complete or at an agreed-upon date. HomeMakers require only a 2% Builder's Deposit with the purchase agreement.
Step 4:
Home Completion
HomeMakers will complete your homes with their standard construction schedule at this point ensuring your home meets and exceeds all applicable building codes.
Step 5:
Homeowner Orientation
Once complete, a Home Owner Orientation will be performed with you to familiarize you with the features of your new home.
Step 6:
Closing
A closing will be set up with you and your lender a few weeks out from the estimated completion of your home. Upon closing and funding, you will be provided with the keys to your home once all the paperwork has been signed and approved by your lender. The lender must approve and provide funds for closing prior to you obtaining your keys. This may take a few hours or the next business day depending on the lender.
Your HomeMakers New Home Specialist is with you every step of the way, so the hardest choice you'll have to make is which home you want, then we take care of the rest.
If you have any questions about who we are, what we offer or how our building process works, we encourage you to reach out. We're standing by to answer all of your questions, so you can make the right choice for you and your family.
